The auditions for the NSMS Masquers production of Footloose are over, and the anticipation is high as people anxiously await their results. The actors and actresses are very talented, if you ask me. The Masquers, directed by Mr. Chillemi (Grade 6 Sharks Science) should have an exceptional play this winter. The judges are Mr. Chillemi (director), Mr. Messemer (chorus), Ms. Kuranishi (dance) and Ms. Vestuto (production). Mae Curiale (grade 8) says that “It was a bit nerve-racking, but it was fun…” It’s not as easy as it looks. Almost everybody auditioning wants to be the main character, but there can only be one Ariel and one Ren.

Footloose is a 1984 film about how one boy who moves to a small town will attempt to overturn the ban on rock music and dance.
