Earth’s Beauty

Earth’s Beauty

Flowers start to bloom,
Washing out all the gloom.
Light pours from the sun,
That’s the start of the fun.
All snow melts away,
Leaving a beautiful day.
Filled with light laughter,
To start a new chapter.
Birds sing a song,
Washing away all wrong.
That’s what Spring should be,
But now it is only me.
As the Earth dies,
We soon see with our own eyes.
All the destruction we bring,
Soon no birds will sing.

This poem I wrote talks about how beautiful and magical Earth can be but how us humans are self sabotaging it and destroying it. We are the reason our earth is slowly falling apart because we are causing overpopulation, overconsumption, overexploitation, pollution, and deforestation. Our earth is verdant, pristine, unique, and full of mystery. This is why we should take care of it and protect it, just like it protects us.
