It all started when Luke found a mysterious door in school. It was located in the basement, where only the janitors went down to retrieve their supplies. Luke and his friend Evelyn froze, Have you ever seen that? Evelyn asked Luke. Silence answered this creepy question. Ever since that day, Luke and Evelyn made a rule to never, ever go down stairs. However, whatever was lurking past the door, didn’t agree. And it planned to lure Luke and Evelyn back down in the basement, where you shouldn’t trust anyone.
“Mom! I’m home with Evelyn! Can she stay for dinner?” Luke and Evelyn rushed into the kitchen, where Luke’s mother was baking pizza. “Hello, Eve, how are you?” Luke’s mom ignored Luke’s question. “Hi Mrs. Tarz, I’m good, and how are you?” Evelyn replied, smiling. “I’m doing well, now why don’t you call your mom, so that she knows where you will be staying, yes?” Mrs. Tarz asked, looking at Luke and Evelyn. Luke and Evelyn went outside to call Mrs. Liz. “I can’t believe my mom let you stay, at least for today!” Luke whispered, as Eve spoke on the phone to her mom. Eve smiled, then frowned. She hung up the phone, with a sad smile. “Sorry, Luke I can’t stay, my mom want’s to take me out for dinner.” she looked at her shoes. Luke knew how important this was for her, ever since her dad died she always wanted to have bonding times with her mom.
Luke went to talk to his mother that Evelyn couldn’t stay. “Mom, Ev-“. Luke was interupted by a blood-piercing scream near the doorway. Luke and his mother hurried to the hallway.
There was no sign of Evelyn anywhere but there was something there; a bloody knife.
