“How Easily We Fall”

Eva Dominguez, Staff Writer

How easily we fall,

Like a small breeze could knock us down.

Death will not differentiate, it will only take.

How small we really are,

We’re one person, one life among billions,

One group on a speck of dirt that we call home.

Can you hear us?

We are drowned out by the loud noises and other voices.

The screams.

The shouts.

The cries for help,

the deafening silence.

How easily we fall.
