The TONYS: Who has been nominated?

A Tony is a major Broadway theater award. It is part of an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, TONY), a significant award collection status typically actors can achieve. They were introduced in 1947.

This year, a newer Broadway called Some Like It Hot, had the most nominations with 13. Some Like it Hot is advised for ages 12+. There was a three-way tie for the second most nominations with 9, is &Juliet, New York, New York. Both musicals are relatively new. If you want to learn more about any of these musicals, click here. The nominees for that are & Juliet, Kimberly Akimbo, New York, New York, Shucked, and Some Like It Hot.

The best Play nominees are Ain’t No Mo’, Between Riverside and Crazy, The Cost Of Living, Fat Ham, and Leopoldstat. The famous Ben Platt has also been nominated for a Tony. Platt only has one Tony right now for Leading Actor, which he won for playing Evan Hansen in Dear Evan Hansen. He is currently performing in Parade, where he barely leaves the stage. Not even during intermission.
