Others ask me what I’m thankful for and the answer should be simple,

But looking past the trinkets and toys

We realize these are only simple joys,

The things we will remember most

The loving words and much hope,

The time we spend with family

The people who really do believe

The ocean breeze

The swaying trees,

The captivating beauty underneath

The gentle words that we speak
